Cairnbaan Community Trust is in the final stages of the transfer of forestry buildings to our community for conversion into a community hub with adjacent workshop space.
The Trust is now seeking a self employed Development Officer with a wide range of community project management skills including working with the building trades in a clerk of works style role.

This position is for an initial period of up to 12 months to manage, implement and co-ordinate the early stages of the development of Cairnbaan Community Hub.
The Trust is seeking a self-employed professional with project management experience who can oversee the development from the point of community transfer from Forestry and Land Scotland and oversee the necessary works to prepare for opening to the community and wider population, as detailed in our Business Plan.

This will encompass the following activities:
Technical
Project manage the resource from handover from Forestry and Land Scotland in preparation for occupation by developing and establishing practices and processes for the management and smooth running of the Hub through:
Administration
Working with Trustees and the Trust’s sub-committees to plan for the longer term by;
Financial
Working with the Treasurer, Bookkeeper and Accountant by:
The post is open to a person who can work remotely and locally for two or three days a week, to be negotiated with the Board of Trustees. The person appointed will be expected to have a visible presence in the village and be responsible for submitting invoices for their work on a monthly basis.
This role will report directly to Colin Davies of the Trustee Board, who will act in a line-management role for the position.
The position is for an initial period of 12 months and is funded in full by the Scottish Land Fund.
