Volunteers needed for Our Community Hub
You may have read in the press or on social media that the Trust has been awarded a grant of £134,796 from the Scottish Land Fund (SLF) to purchase the Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) buildings in the village and carry out essential repairs. The grant will also fund a part-time Development Manager for the Community Hub for one year to oversee and develop this work and we hope to gain access to the buildings by July.
This is fantastic news for our community and means that we can now progress with our plans to repair and refurbish the buildings to create a hub for community use.
Most of the initial work will be carried out by contractors under the supervision of our Development Manager who we plan to appoint in May. However, there are many tasks which can be done by volunteer members of our community. If you and/or members of your household have skills to share or are willing to help out, no matter how small the job, we would love to hear from you so please complete the form below.
This is a great opportunity for our community to make a difference now and also benefit future generations in the village. It also gives us the opportunity to work alongside our neighbours on practical tasks to get the building ready for use by everyone. We look forward to hearing from you.
Please fill in the form below to let the Trust know how you can help and click the ‘Send’ button. Please respond by 18/04/25.
