Logo Competition:
We are pleased to announce that the Cairnbaan Community Trust is displaying the entries for the Community logo competition over the next 5 days (11/10 – 15/10) at the Cairnbaan Hotel. The entries will be on display in the restaurant area from 11.30am until 3pm then again from 4.30 until 7pm. Please feel free to come along and see the beautiful work from the students of Lochgilphead High School. We would like to thank the Cairnbaan Hotel for allowing the community to use this room for the project.
OSCR Application:
Our application to the Charity Regulator, OSCR, is moving slowly through the complex process. Not surprisingly each element is scrutinised. We now have advisors assisting us. Jim and Wilf have been working hard on this and the latest phase of their work has now been submitted to OSCR.
Funding Application to McKenzie Construction:
Due to a change in personnel, the decisions on our applications for Playpark upgrading in Letterdaill and Cairnbaan notice board, have been delayed. We will keep you updated on developments.
Reduction of Speed Limit through Village:
Members of the Steering Group continue to attend Community Council Meetings to progress this initiative. There are many issues to work through and it was raised again at the meeting of 09/10/23 along with other villages who want to see reduction in their speed limits.
Cairnbaan Community Trust You-Tube Channel:
We are currently working to develop our own you-tube channel which should be available shortly. Once this is up and running we will display the video of the forestry buildings that are being sought for a community asset transfer. I will update you in the near future about this.
